The Brakel® Optima is the most energy-efficient louvered ventilator for smoke ventilation and ventilation. The Optima offers the perfect solution for fire safety, comfort and energy management of your premises and is a welcome addition to any sustainable building.

Unlike other louvered vents, the Brakel® Optima is completely thermally separated. Not only the louvers, but the base with the gutter construction is also thermally separated. This allows the advantages offered by a louvered ventilator to be combined with the unique performance of a double flap system.

Unparalleled not only for insulation performance but also for air and water tightness

The Optima performance is remarkable. This louvered ventilator has an extremely high airtightness at a pressure of 600 Pa and so easily satisfies the highest class 4 in accordance with EN 12207. Air loss at 50 Pa was 0.21m3/hr/m2. This value is unparalleled. The Brakel Optima also scored well in other areas. High insulation values from 1.0 W/(m2·K) were achieved, depending on the type and version.

Water tightness tests to 1050 Pa in accordance with EN 12208 - comparable to hurricane force with a wind speed of 144 kph! A clear indication that this louvered ventilator has the best air and water tightness on the market!

Retains the comfort of daylight

The wide louvers placed at 400mm centres in the translucent version allows the free passage of daylight ensuring an attractive spread of light coupled with an aesthetic design. De Brakel Optima is therefore highly suitable for buildings with strict requirements for daylight and comfort.
